We’ve chosen to partner with Thirst Relief International on our first project. There are a few things we love about Thirst Relief. First, all money raised goes straight towards the project. They have private donors who cover all of their operating expenses. Second, they believe drilling a well is only part of the solution. Their “WASH” program provides a deep bore well, a pump and filtration system, multiple taps that serve as faucets or drinking fountains, and latrines to improve sanitation.
This project has two parts. First, will be a full WASH program at T.E.L.C. Middle School in the Tirupur District of India. It will provide around 200 students plus surrounding community with clean water.
Second, they will be drilling a well for a village in the Virudhunagar District of India. This well will provide an entire community with access to clean drinking water (Between 1500 and 2000 people!).
We will post photos and updates as they become available, stay tuned!
